Em homenagem ao Valentine’s Day (Dia dos Namorados em alguns países), a revista BillBoard divulgou uma lista com as 50 melhores músicas românticas. Com quase 500 milhões de visualizações, ‘Love on Top’, de Beyoncé, foi eleita a melhor música romântica do século 21.
A canção vendeu mais de um milhão de downloads só nos Estados Unidos e ocupou o topo das paradas em países como África do Sul, Austrália, Reino Unido, Coréia do Sul e Japão. O single, de 2011, rendeu a artista comparações com artistas como Whitney Houstone Michael Jackson, por parecer uma música dos anos 80, misturando R&B e Hip-Hop.
